Fracture Care at Home
Expert Evaluation & Splinting — Without the ER
Something snapped, popped, or just doesn’t look right. Before you spend four hours in the ER, know this: most fractures can be safely evaluated, splinted, and managed right at your home.
Not All Injuries Require an X-Ray
A skilled orthopedic evaluator can often determine whether a fracture is present through a careful clinical examination. Unnecessary imaging means extra trips, extra cost, and extra stress. We evaluate first, image only when necessary, and always explain why.
Fractures We Commonly Manage
Wrist & Hand
Distal radius fractures, scaphoid injuries, boxer’s fractures, and finger fractures.
Ankle & Foot
Lateral malleolus fractures, metatarsal fractures, and stress fractures.
Finger & Toe
Mallet finger, tuft fractures, and stubbed toe injuries.
Minor Arm Fractures
Buckle fractures, non-displaced radial head fractures, and minor elbow injuries.
Rib Fractures
Pain management guidance, breathing exercises, and monitoring for complications.
How It Works
Evaluation
Our specialist comes to your home and performs a thorough clinical examination.
Stabilization
Splinting, sling application, or immobilization — done right there.
Imaging (If Needed)
We’ll determine if imaging is needed and coordinate it at a convenient facility.
Treatment Plan
Clear instructions for pain management, activity restrictions, and follow-up.
Follow-Up & Referral
Ongoing home visits. If surgery is needed, we refer to a trusted surgeon.
What We Don’t Do (And Why We’re Honest About It)
We believe in transparency. Some fractures require surgical intervention:
- Open or compound fractures (bone through skin)
- Severely displaced fractures requiring surgical fixation
- Complex joint fractures (intra-articular)
- Fractures with neurovascular compromise
When surgery is needed, we refer directly to a trusted specialist — quickly, without the runaround.
Go to the ER Immediately If:
- Bone is visible through the skin
- Severe deformity (limb looks bent or out of shape)
- Numbness, tingling, or blue/cold fingers or toes
- Uncontrolled bleeding combined with the injury
- Suspected spinal or neck injury (do not move the patient)
Think It Might Be Broken?
